Hello from . . . I believe

I haven't blogged in a while because I have been so busy . . . with life. So much has happened in the past few months and I feel like I have grown more than I would have expected. The events I have experienced have shown me how to live; not just live but choose to live happier.

I believe that bad things happen and you deal with them and move on.
I believe that mistakes are made so you can learn from your them and you try to avoid making those same mistakes.
I believe that God puts certain people in your life so that they can teach you something and vice versa.
I believe that searching is overrated.
I believe that emptiness can be filled with surprises.
I believe that expectation is a fast way to become a cynic.
I believe that it is important to be the bigger person.
I believe that examples are the best way to learn.
I believe that music can answer all your questions.
I believe that showing someone you care is better than telling them.
I believe that movies can substitute for a vacation.
I believe that having older friends will make you wiser.
I believe in marrying your best friend.
I believe that angels walk amongst us, everyday.
I believe that it's not about the destination but the journey.
I believe that forgiveness is the key to relieve all stress.
I believe that saying something nice is better than saying nothing.
I believe that painting is therapy.
I believe that people can change.
I believe that life is about being silly and not taking things too seriously.
I believe that Mothers are people that God speaks through.
I believe that my heart breaks and grows a little bit each day.
I believe that being honest is honorable.
I believe that sleeping is the best medicine.
I believe that life is a love story.

Hello from rainy weather . . .

It looks like it might rain outside . . . Thank you God! Texas needs some rain. However, the rainy weather is not helping my grueling fight to stay in a possitve mood. My luck has been less than stellar as of late. On the other hand, I have faith that God will reveal his plans in time. While i'm waiting I guess I will just have to enjoy the rain :)

Hello from . . . regrouping

After a loooong weekend I can't wait to get back into a normal routine. Go to work, spend time with my friends, and just normal sleeping habits. I do well when I have a routine. I like structure.
I can't figure out where I want to be in the fall though; Lubbock or Austin? I've made a life here in Lubbock but, I miss my family and life in Austin. We will see I guess . . .

Hello from . . . I woke up early to think.

I had some wine last night and sometimes when I have a drink or two I wake up really early for no good reason. This morning I woke up at 6 a.m. and I figured I should just start my day then, so I wrote out intructions for a good friend on operating her blog while she is away helping others and without a phone. I listened to the song that she had my attach to her blogsite and really got to thinking about God and life, anyway, I found this while I was thinking and thought I should share it.

"Times change. God doesn’t, but times do. We learn and grow, and the world around us shifts, and the Christian faith is alive only when it is listening, morphing, innovating, letting go of whatever has gotten in the way of Jesus and embracing whatever will help us be more and more the people God wants us to be."
— Rob Bell

This is a quote from the next book on my list to read, it's called Velvet Elvis. I'm excited!
